What to Expect

As we age, it’s common to hear,
“Well, that’s what happens when you get older.” To some extent, yes, our bodies change as we age.

But that doesn’t mean our function has to. The Built Strong program was designed with the older adult in mind. Simply put, we provide personal wellness instruction for individuals looking to improve function, prevent functional decline, and thrive in a society telling older adults to slow down.

This program is one-on-one care with a physical therapist assistant who has over 15 years of experience working with this population. Clients can expect to learn, be encouraged, and be challenged in each session. Every program is based on the individual’s goals and current functional status.

Your First Visit

The first visit focuses on getting to know you and finding out your motivation for joining our program. We will discuss your current activity level, things you enjoy and even things that scare you.

Often times, the natural process of aging can be hard and a little bit intimidating. Our goal at your first session and beyond is to step alongside you and start your journey to strength and longevity.

To help with this, we ask that you come in “comfortable clothing.”  Anything that you would normally wear to exercise, including comfortable footwear.  We also ask that the intake form be filled out online prior to your initial visit. This will allow more time for getting to know you and your goals at that initial visit.
