Our Team
Chris Banks, DC
Chiropractic Care
Dr. Chris Banks is a dedicated chiropractor in Joplin, MO, with a passion for helping people move, feel, and live better. A graduate of Parker University in Dallas, TX, Chris has been serving the Joplin community since 2011. His journey into health and wellness began with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Harding University in 2003, where he developed a deep understanding of movement, performance, and injury prevention.
Driven to bring a modern, results-driven approach to chiropractic care, Chris founded Midwestern Built Chiropractic in 2018. As the practice grew, so did his commitment to comprehensive patient care. In 2020, Midwestern Built Health was launched, integrating chiropractic care, physical therapy, and wellness services to provide a holistic approach to health and performance.
Beyond the clinic, Chris is an avid CrossFit athlete who has been training and competing since 2012. He enjoys spending time with his wife and three boys, staying active, and relaxing at the lake during the summer. His passion for fitness, movement, and helping others achieve their peak health and performance is the foundation of Midwestern Built Health.
Trae Frisbee
Massage Therapy & Personal Training
Trae brings more than a decade of experience in fitness, coaching, and personal training to the MWB Health team. A lifelong athlete, he competed in soccer, basketball, and track and field growing up and later played competitive club soccer at the University of Central Missouri. He has been involved in CrossFit since 2012, coaching since 2016, and began working as a personal trainer in 2016.
Trae is passionate about helping people build strength, confidence, and the ability to get more out of life. Whether that means helping an athlete improve performance, a busy parent feel strong and capable again, or someone simply move with greater confidence and less pain, his approach starts with understanding what matters to the individual. Through both personal training and massage therapy, Trae focuses on helping people move, recover, and perform better so they can continue doing the things they enjoy.
Originally from central Missouri, Trae moved to Joplin in 2018 and quickly developed strong roots in the community. He and his wife, Hailey, have built lasting friendships here and are proud to call Joplin home. At the heart of everything Trae does is a simple philosophy: he genuinely enjoys helping people become stronger, healthier, and more capable versions of themselves.

Physical Therapy
Jennifer is a graduate of Marquette University and has been practicing physical therapy in the 4-States region since 2011. With an undergraduate degree in athletic training and a doctorate in physical therapy, she brings a broad background to the team at MWB.
Frustrated with traditional high volume physical therapy practice, Jennifer joined Midwestern Built Health out of a desire to provide more individualized, one on one care and help people bypass the hoops of today’s current healthcare model.
Jennifer has special interests in pediatric & adolescent gross motor development, functional sports medicine, and treatment of pregnant and postpartum athletes.
When not practicing, Jennifer also enjoys summer lake weekends with family and staying active. She has a broad athletic background including competitive water skiing, triathlon, and CrossFit.
